Technically, do any of the book ever mention Germany having any pacific colonies at all? it may never have aquired them. [unknown user]

There's no reference to those islands I could find in any of the novles. (Too small to be important to the US & CS viewpoint chars). However the general assumption is events pre 1914 outside the Americas match orginial timeline except where contradicted by the novels. Jon 16:12, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Hum, considering the islands were part of the Spanish empire though, the unknown editor does have a point; it would actually be likely that Japan took all of them either as part of the treaty ending that war and even if this treaty allowed Spain to keep those islands Japan would probably have objected to Spain's plans to sell them to a third party.
