The Historical Society of Central Florida collects and preserves regional history of Central Florida.[1] It is located at the Orange County Regional History Center in the historic Orange County Courthouse.

In 2000, the Orange County Historical Society changed its name to the Historical Society of Central Florida because its collections and holdings included material from surrounding counties. The new name more accurately reflected the focus of the society.
