[edit] Notability of Overland Amusement Company

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Overland Amusement Company, by Svetovid, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Overland Amusement Company seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Overland Amusement Company, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Overland Amusement Company itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 00:05, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] DO NOT DELETE SPEEDY REQUEST

Hi. Please do not remove speedy delete requests on pages that you have created yourself.

Looking at other chatting on this page, I think that you do know that you may not do that and also for removing the deletion tag from you page, I am giving you an official vandalism warning.

Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Denis Casavant. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox for test edits. Thank you. For removing spedy deletion tag by yourself without going through correct procedure. And removal of content (deletion warning) on your own talk page regarding offical Wikipedia policy. Aflumpire 05:24, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from List of Washington Nationals broadcasters. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as the text has been restored from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Tiptoety 22:55, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Info source

I like the template, {{RoughridersQB}}, that you added to Bob Ptacek. Do you have a source for CFL player information. With the NFL and Arena Football I have been able to find websites with statistics for any player's entire career in either league. I can not find a website to look up CFLers. Do you know of one?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 13:56, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

P.S. Among the players I am trying to find information about are Mercury Hayes, Gordon Bell and Billy Taylor.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 13:58, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Adding unsourced categories

Do not add categories to articles unless there is sourced text in the article that backs up the category, as you did to Alex Trebek. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. Ward3001 (talk) 22:39, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Gilbert Renfroe

Slaird75 (talk) 03:01, 23 January 2008 (UTC)slaird75 I see you posted information regarding CFL Quarterback, Gilbert Renfroe. I am president of the CFL Players Association and I am trying to locate Gilbert regarding important pension information. Unfortunately, I have no contact information for Gilbert. Because you seem to have extensive information about Gilbert, I was hoping you might be able to contact him to pass along this important information. regards Stu Laird President CFL Players Association slaird75@telus.net

[edit] AfD nomination of Denis Casavant

I have nominated Denis Casavant, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Denis Casavant. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. [edit] An Invite to join Saskatchewan WikiProject

Hi, you are graciously extended an invitation to join the Saskatchewan WikiProject! The Saskatchewan WikiProject is a fairly new WikiProject. We are a group of editors who are dedicated to creating, revising, and expanding articles, lists, categories, and Wikiprojects, to do with anything Saskatchewan.

As you have shown an interest in Jim Eddy we thought you might like to take an interest in this growing WikiProject.
Please assist with any ongoing requests
You might like to take an extra interest in our To Do list
Another project dedicated to Saskatchewan is the Saskatchewan Roads and Highways Wikiproject
Also, a descendant project for Saskatchewan is the WikiProject Saskatchewan Communities & Neighbourhoods
We look forward to welcoming you to the project! SriMesh | talk 00:46, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] References

Thank you so much for adding references, the templates for the coaches, and the categories!! I have modified your references using Wikipedia:Citation templates in the article Jim Eddy, but I didn't wikify the reference links in Ken Miller (football coach) . I also added a few of the (categories of wikiprojects) wikiprojects the articles belong to (this banner is added to the talk page). Adding as many stub categories and wikiprojects notifies other editors about the article, and if they wish to expand it, they can find it easier, and it grows in that way. Good luck in all your future endeavours. Kind Regards SriMesh | talk 00:58, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 12345

A tag has been placed on 12345, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. [edit] 1954 NBA All-Star Game

Hi,

Re. 1954 NBA All-Star Game

I have added a couple of tags to the top of this article, suggesting some improvements.

1. It should have a short paragraph at the top of the article, explaining what it is all about. For example, "The 1954 NBA All-Star Game was an American football played in Madison Square Garden, New York, NY on January 21, 1954."

This would be much better than just listing the facts as bullet-points.

There may also be an infobox template that could be used to list the facts.

2. The external links should say what they link to - at present, they just give numbers, which doesn't show what the links are. For example, you could put [http://www.google.com/ The Google search engine]. This would look like;

I hope these ideas will help you in improving this, and other articles.

Any questions etc, please ask me on my own talk page.

Thanks!
