Thanks -- I wasn't able to locate them but perhaps I'm just missing something. --Hiraeth 17:40, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi Hiraeth, I took a look at your article as a result of your question to the help desk. Here are a few suggestions for you:

  1. You may want to include a map, or a link to a map or to geographical coordinates, for an example of how this has been done elsewhere, please see: Jordanhill railway station
  2. I think removing the bulleted text was a good idea. I suggest you also remove the mission statement, or at least move it down the page. Having it up at the top makes it look like this is marketing material for the musuem and could be construed as a violation of WP:POV. If you decide to keep it, you could move it further down and add a reference to show you are just quoting from another place, which looks less like Wikipedia is endorsing the misssion statement. There are many ways to do this. See WP:Reference.
  3. Opinions differ on how many words to wikilink, but I personally think the things being exhibited in the musuem deserve wikilinks, so I would wikilink all of the following: furniture, clothing, photographs, scrapbooks, quilts and wedding gowns.
  4. I definitely would wikilink guild
  5. I would make the picture at the top a little larger. This is also a matter of taste. I see you have not specified a size, which leaves it up to the user's preferences. This is often a good choice. However, in this case, I would be tempted to try [[Image:June 2005 C.JPG|thumb|300px|right|The Hoover House, one of Amherst's Museum's historic buildings.]]

Good luck! Johntex\talk 03:35, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

Johntex -- thank you! Great suggestions. I took your advice about the links, and the mission statement, and the picture right away! I'm going to work on the map idea later as well.

Very grateful! --Hiraeth 16:16, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
