Hiroya Masuda

Hiroya Masuda (増田 寛也? born December 20, 1951) is a Japanese politician who has been serving as Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications since August 2007. Unlike many other members of the Cabinet, he is not a member of the Diet of Japan (parliament). A native of Tokyo, he graduated from the University of Tokyo and served as governor of Iwate Prefecture from 1995 to 2007.
