Hiroshima-Nishi Airport (広島西飛行場 Hiroshima Nishi Hikōjō?) (IATA: HIW, ICAO: RJBH) is an airport in Nishi Ward, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan.

- 1961 : Hiroshima Airport managed by the Ministry of Transport was opened.
- 1972 : The runway was extended from 1200 meters to 1800 meters.
- 1993 : New Hiroshima Airport was opened in Mihara, Hiroshima. Hiroshima Airport became Hiroshima Prefectural Hiroshima-Nishi Airport. The basic and detailed design engineering works, in addition to the later construction management phase of this airport project, were awarded in part to the Japan Branch of the famous American design-build engineering company, The Austin Company.
