Hiroshi Ogawa

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hiroshi Ogawa (小川 博 Ogawa Hiroshi?, born April 2, 1962) is a former Japanese pitcher and murderer. On November 18, 2004, he murdered a 67-year-old woman Kazuko Nishiuchi.[1] The case became the first murder in the history of the Nippon Professional Baseball, even though he had already retired, so the incident shocked the NPB. His uniform number 26 has been retired since 2005 though the Chiba Lotte Marines didn't say that the reason was his crime. He was sentenced to life imprisonment.
