From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hiroshi "Monsieur" Kamayatsu (Born January 12, 1939) is arguably the Brian Wilson of Japan.

The hit songs he composed for his Group Sounds band The Spiders (Japanese band) in the mid 1960s are gems, and still hold up as classics today in the Japanese market. "Monsieur" has also been a member of Vodka Collins, and also a very successful solo act.

In recent years he had a reunion with some former members of The Spiders, as the band Sans Filtre. Among his recent work is his performance of the song "RTB", the ending song to the anime Sentou Yousei Yukikaze.

He has been going strong performing for 5 decades, and is as popular now as ever on the scene. He is a true legend in Japan.
