Hironori Kusano (草野博紀 Kusano Hironori?, born February 15, 1988) is a singer, idol, and former member of the J-pop group NEWS, as part of Johnny's Entertainment, Inc. He joined Johnny's Entertainment on February 4, 2001.

As a Johnny's Jr., Kusano had also been in other Jr. subgroups including J2000, J-support, and K.K.Kity, before he was selected as 1 of the 9 members to debut as NEWS.
Late in 2005, following reports from a tabloid magazine of his underage drinking in a Karaoke Box, Kusano was "temporary withdrawn" from NEWS and Johnny's Entertainment. Kusano stated publicly that he was not guilty, and insisted that he had not been drinking alcohol on that occasion.
This incident in conjunction with the earlier suspension of fellow NEWS member Hiroki Uchi in September 2004, also due to reports of underage drinking, lead to the temporary suspension of NEWS as a unit after the close their 'NEWS Spring Tour 2006'.
On December 30, 2006 NEWS's return was officially announced, but without Hironori Kusano or Hiroki Uchi, who were demoted to "trainees" within Johnny's Entertainment, a presently undefined term.
After recent news that Uchi and Kusano would be performing in "Shounentai Playzone 2007" (少年隊 PLAYZONE 2007) with other Juniors from Johnny's Entertainment, it was shortly thereafter conformed during the press conference for the recently announced Fuji TV drama "Isshun no Kaze ni Nare" (一瞬の風になれ), that Hiroki Uchi, along with Hironori Kusano, had officially graduated from their "trainee" status within Johnny's Entertainment.
Kusano is currently a student at Hosei University in Tokyo, studying in the "Career Design" faculty (キャリアデザイン学部).
At the moment, he is currently in New York, studying English, stating that he would like to follow the footsteps of fellow Johnny, Akanishi Jin, who went on a six-month study hiatus in Los Angeles, California last year.
