Hiroko Ōta (大田弘子 Ōta Hiroko?, born 2 February 1954 , Kagoshima, Kagoshima) is a female Japanese politician and a researcher of economics.Her academic majorings are national public finance and Economic policy
Now Hiroko is serving as a minister of state , charging economic policy and public finance.

Her lecture on public finance is so digestive and often appreciated from the audience.While Hiroko was one of the vice-professors of the National Graduated Institute for Policy Studies (政策研究大学院大学 Seisaku Kenkyu Daigakuin Daigaku?) , she obtained her political appointment.
