Hiroaki Kitano (北野 宏明? born 1961 in Tokyo) is a Japanese scientist who currently works for Sony Computer Science Laboratories and is best known for developing AIBO. He graduated from International Christian University in 1984 and received a Ph.D. in engineering from Kyoto University in 1991.
