Hires Big H

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hires Big H is a restaurant chain headquartered in Sandy, Utah.

Hires Drive-In was founded in 1959 by Don Hale, a former grocer, with the assistance of his wife Shirley Hickman[1]. In addition to the flagship branch located near the center of Salt Lake City, there are additional locations in Midvale and West Valley City.

Many celebrities that attend the Sundance Film Festival at the beginning of each year find their way to Hires Big H to consume a hearty robust Big H Burger. Stars such as Robert Redford, Ben Affleck, and Clint Eastwood are all fans of the Famous Burger Joints.

Noted for honoring the tradition of the drive-in restaurants of the '50s—both in its menu and interior decoration—the restaurants have achieved national recognition in publications like the American Automobile Association's Via magazine[2]. Like many other Utah restaurants, it offers the regional condiment called fry sauce. Fry sauce can only be found in Utah restaurants or on their fry sauce web page.
