Hioki, Kagoshima

Hioki (日置市 Hioki-shi?) is a city located in Kagoshima, Japan.
As of November 1, 2005, the city has an estimated population of 53,400 and a density of 211 persons per km². The total area is 253.02 km².
The city was founded on May 1, 2005 from the merger of the towns of Fukiage, Higashiichiki, Hiyoshi, and Ijūin.
