[edit] Advertisement
Please justify why you think this article is written like an advertisement. It appears you are working at the behest of DGG. The article is well refernced, it is a GPL'd FLOSS, this piece of software has been recognised by the industry and the Govt. of India. Please do not post wrong tags without justification.Hi pedler 10:23, 30 September 2007 (UTC)hi_pedler
- First of all, there is a very strict policy of assume good faith. Do not make accusations of things like "working at the behest" of others; it is inappropriate. Second, it is written like an advertisement. Saying that it is "aimed at", "highly scalable", "for whoever", etc. are advertising terms, not encyclopedic terms. An encyclopedia would state facts (from sources) about things like when the suite came out, versions that came out, changes, maybe quotes from the company about what it actually does in some detail. By the way, what do you mean "well-referenced"? Other than the Linux World News article (a legitimate source that isn't used as all), I see two self-published references (the company website and sourceforge), a TDIL mention that the product exists (not exactly why anyone should care). If the software is recognized by the industry, please provide a source of some type, preferably one that is reliable; perhaps some like an independent review. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 18:07, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Need help
Hindawi is a massive system. I alone cannot write an article about it. Please put in some support. Hi pedler 07:20, 12 October 2007 (UTC)hi_pedler
[edit] unencyclopedic content should be removed
And that certainly includes a list of commands. I have done so, as a start. I remind you once more about COI. BTW, Ricky and I have never as far as I know worked on the same article before, but I appreciate having my view confirmed by such an experienced editor and administrator. DGG (talk)

- Please remove the list of keywords from Hindi Programming Language as well then please. If you want me to do it, please let me know. Hi pedler 10:30, 13 October 2007 (UTC)hi_pedler
[edit] Some new references
Hindawi has entered Stockholm Challenge Awards [1] Hi pedler (talk) 04:54, 17 February 2008 (UTC)hi_pedler
- Very promising. If it wins an award, or even is named as a finalist, that can certainly be used as a reference and the article expanded. Based on [2] merely being an entry is not a distinction. If i am wrong about this, please explain this. DGG (talk) 07:18, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hindawi is the lead award winner at OSIW
Hindawi Indian language based compiler systems has possibly received another award. I just read about this one in an online newspaper. [3] [4] The project description for FOSS India Awards can be viewed at [5] 125.18.109.34 (talk) 10:45, 18 February 2008 (UTC)hi_pedler
- Now, if we can get something giving information about the awards in an edited publication that isnt a press release, it will do very well indeed--see what you can find. That third one will do nicely as an external references as it gives a full description of the system. But now I need to think about how to reorganize those links--we normally give only 2 or 3 external links. DGG (talk) 00:44, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
