Hinduism in Mozambique
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mozambique has a significant Indian/Hindu community. Most of their ancestors came to Mozambique close to 500 years ago. Living for 500 years in Africa, including under the influence of the Portuguese during their colonization, the vibrancy of Indian culture is still evident today.
The overwhelming majority of the Indian community in Mozambique including children speak fluent Gujarati.
