Most of the Hindus in Ireland are of South Asian descent. A few dozen are white Irish. The 2000 census recorded 3,099 Hindus in Ireland[1]. Of them, 1691 were in Dublin; 308 in Southwest; 250 in Mideast; 199 in West; 189 in Border; 184 in Southeast; 183 in Midewest and 95 in Midland. The most famous Hindu temple in Ireland is the Vinayaka temple in Dublin [2]. Other temples are also present like the ISKCON temple in Dublin.
