Hindawi Publishing Corporation

The Hindawi Publishing Corporation is a commercial publisher of STM (Science, Technology, and Medicine) literature. Founded in 1997, Hindawi is responsible for the publication of 60+ peer-reviewed scientific journals journals as well as, more recently, a number of scholarly monographs. The company has offices in New York and Cairo.

Recently, Hindawi has become one of the leading figures in the new movement known as Open access publishing.[1][2]

Open access publishing, one of the methods of open access makes peer-reviewed scholarship freely available online with no subscription or registration barriers. The publication of such open access journals is usually financed by author fees. Hindawi is one of the first publishers to use this model exclusively. Print versions are also available, using a customary subscription model.[3][4]
