Hinako

Hinako Islands is a group of small islands of the coast of Nias in the North Sumatra province of Indonesia.
Two of these islands are classic 'off the beaten track' surf spots. Both are excellent.
Bawa, is a heavy barreling right hander. Similar in style to sunset beach on Oahu, these islands also have malarial swamp areas so precautions are sensible.
Asu, a picture perfect tranquil paradise island has one of the best left handers in the world. Again, a heavy almond shaped barrel holding very large surf. It was however significantly altered after the tsunami earthquakes and the inside section is now dry coral and the wave's quality has been reduced. You should have been there...
The two waves work in opposite winds, and boat travel is needed to get from one island to another
