Clarification just as a clarifier to all who peruse this portal and make edits, this portal IS intended to serve as country portal for Nepal, Bhutan and the region portal for Kashmir, Sikkim, Tibet, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh. [edit] Arunachal Pradesh

Why does the Arunachal Pradesh template appear on the portal? It is just one of the many mountainous states -- Lost 10:50, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Its part of the Himalayan region - this portal discusses the nations of Nepal, Bhutan and the entire region. Rama's arrow - this Fire burns always 10:59, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Yes I know what you're talking about - there are no templates existent for HP and Sikkim, also Tibet, Uttaranchal, Kashmir and Bhutan. I've put in what exists for now. Rama's arrow - this Fire burns always 11:07, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Afghanistan?

Shouldn't Afghanistan be a part of this? -- Lost(talk) 16:11, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Well no - I don't think Afghanistan is really connected with the Himalayas except for a small strip of land on the Pak-Tajikistan border. Even Pakistan would be a doubtful connection if not for the Kashmir dispute and the Hindu Kush range. Rama's arrow 16:25, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Yes you are right. A bit of reading tells me that the mountain ranges surrounding Afghanistan are not Himalayas for the large part -- Lost(talk) 18:27, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
