Himbasha
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Himbasha is a celebration bread[1] that is slightly sweet. It is often served at special occasions. It is prepared in a number of varieties, however the most distinctive flavoring is that of the ground cardamom seeds that lend it an exotic flavor.
The dough is given a decorative touch prior to baking. The design will vary in its detail but in general it is given the shape of a wheel with indentations to create a number of spokes. Points on each spoke will be connected with a corresponding point on a neighboring spoke with another indentation
Common additions to the recipe include ginger (candied) or raisins, although plain varieties are common as well.
