Talk:Hills in Edinburgh

"however, this is actually untrue" -- not the best phrasing, perhaps. I'll try to improve it. EdC 10:29, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
"and contain a dry ski slope" -- not particularly relevant, and mentioned at Pentland Hills.
Edinburgh Rock -- a redlink; Castle Rock is a disambig which links Edinburgh Castle.
[edit] Re-write
I've done a re-write - feel free to improve on it! I've attempted to tidy up the 7 hills bit, and have added heights for some of them (though couldn't find all of them). I've also added in a comment about the 7 hills race not doing Wester Craiglockhart. I've run the race twice and know that this is the case, but I don't know exactly why - I assume because it is private property, but if anyone else knows better, please correct me. I've also added a new section about the hilly nature of streets in the centre of Edinburgh - not sure if this belongs here, but I think it helps to explain many people's perception of Edinburgh as a hilly city, even if they never get as far as Corstorphine or the Braids (let alone the Pentlands !) If anyone disagrees with any of the above, as I say, feel free to improve it. GeraldH 16:41, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
- The bit about hills in the centre conflates slopes with hills. Roads going off the Royal Mile do not constitute hills. --MacRusgail 16:46, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
And we've got zip for references... /wangi 16:53, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
- That can be done fairly quickly, but it's the weekend, and the library can wait til next week.--MacRusgail 20:13, 26 May 2007 (UTC) p.s. I reckon Edinburgh Rock could do with its own article separate from the castle.
