[edit] San Francisco Bay Area includes San Mateo County

The San Francisco Bay Area is considered to include San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose, plus the areas in between.

The Hiller Aviation Museum is fairly close to San Francisco, on the SF Bay. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Clemwang (talkcontribs) 10:43, 20 February 2007 (UTC).

The article is already in Category:San Mateo County, California, which is a subcategory of Category:San Francisco Bay Area. There are thousands of articles about places, things, people, etcetera in the Bay Area. If they were all placed in the main San Francisco Bay Area category, it would become useless; which is why articles are placed in relevant subcategories instead. 71.141.233.199 10:59, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Disagree along with the other editors who reverted your deletions. Subcats are nice to have but as with many articles, they also belong to the parent cat which is basic subset/subcat theory. Ronbo76 15:00, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
