Hill City, Pennington County, South Dakota was established as a mining community in the 1870's.
[edit] City Population
Can this be colloborated with fact - who is to say the city's population fell since 2000? I am going to remove the bolded part of the following line "The population was 780 at the 2000 census but is currently 650" unless someone can give a citation for it.Lmielke359 03:53, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
- I got it figured out - Its was the 1990 data that was taken from the City's sign. Lmielke359 15:13, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Points of Interest
I am thinking about removing this section since there is no real way to make this NPOV. Most of the business listed are mentioned in the article. Any comments? Lmielke359 02:37, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
The points of interest are now removed - if someone wants to put info on Praire Berry Winery and its significance for Hill City, I would suggest putting it into the culture section. Lmielke359 00:04, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
