Talk:Hilandar
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Now, Hilandar presents the greatest shrine for Serbian people." - maybe serb Jerusalem. I just wonder at these double standards. Serbs say Kosovo cant be inderpendent because it is serb "holy land". This monastry is "the greatest shrine for serbian people"!!! Why then this is in Greece? Why on this earth Serbia is not aksing that this should not be Greece since it is serbian holy land? Why? Get over you serbs you lost your way on your own yard. Kosovo willbe inderpendent and the fact that you have moanstries there does not mean any thing, just as you have monastries in Greece, you can have them in another country - Kosovo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.35.47.2 (talk • contribs)

[edit] Electrification?
Why so much emphasis on electrification? Why not more about the history of the monastary, the role it has played the Serbian Orthodox tradition, its cultura significance to Serbs, etc. I don't know enough about these subjects to write them myself; I'm commenting from the perspective of someone trying to gain a better understanding of the importance of Hilander. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 161.185.1.100 (talk) 15:29, 29 March 2007 (UTC).
I agree absolutely. This article seems not about Hilandar but rather about electificatoin in Hilandar. Somebody please fix this? n.d. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.77.94.177 (talk) 08:48, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wrong
The monastery wasn't founded then. It was just renewed - the grounds are far older. It was just rebuilt/renewed. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 12:45, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
