Hillside is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the Shire of Melton. The suburb was created only recently and it is still a developing area. It exists on the outskirts of Melbourne. It has Estates with names of Cypress Rise, Banchory Grove, Parkwood Green, Bellevue Hill, Sugargum Estate, Hillside 2000 and Regency Rise. A large water tower (lovengly known as the "The Golf Ball" by locals) exists on the edge of the suburb which can be seen from several kilometres around and along with the large radio transmission tower between Sydenham and St Albans is a major landmark of the outer northwestern suburban area.
