"Hillennium" is the 71st episode in the FOX animated situation comedy King of the Hill and is the 10th episode of the fourth season, as well as the fourth Christmas special. The title of the episode is a play on the word millennium.

[edit] Plot

As Christmas approaches, Hank's irritation with everyone caught up in the Y2K hysteria grows. It seems that only he and, ironically, Dale are not hoarding supplies. When there's a run on propane and Strickland Propane has to close its doors, Hank takes the last tank of propane and joins the hoarding hysteria. He discovers that Dale has been hoarding himself, and that his supplies were destroyed when his barrel of Mountain Dew sprang a leak.

The two seek survival help from Chappy, the self-reliant outdoorsman who sells Christmas trees. His hysteria is so pervasive that Hank scraps his original gift-giving ideas and gets people low-tech survival items for Christmas presents. This is especially hard on Peggy, who had learned of his plan to replace her ancient Kaypro with a more modernized computer.

On Christmas Day, Hank attempts to varnish the grandfather clock in a closed garage and passes out due to the fumes, where he has a dream sequence of being trapped inside a Whac-A-Mole game with a Tom Landry mole who inspires him to face the future with confidence.

When he recovers, he creates a bonfire with his badly-chosen presents and promises his wife a blueberry iMac the next day.

[edit] Quotes

Chappy: I live in a shack and I poop in an outhouse. Let the grid go down, Lord; I'm ready.
Hank: There isn't a Mrs. Chappy is there?
Dale: That's your go-to guy? Monkey beans and an outhouse?! I couldn't face the bicentennial with monkey beans, let alone the millennium!
Peggy: Is my Kaypro Y2K-compliant?
Customer: Kaypro? My watch has more memory than that piece of crap.
Kahn: Hey hillbillies! Those [rolls of toilet paper] aren't logs! They're for wipey, wipey.
Dale (finding his kegs of Mountain Dew have been damaged by rodents): My Dew!
Bobby (as a mole): I'm wearing diapers, Father!
