Hilary Barry

Hilary Barry (née Pankhurst) is a TV3 personality in New Zealand who currently presents the 6 pm 3 News with Mike McRoberts.
Originally from Wellington, Barry received a BA in Linguistics and a Certificate of Journalism before working as a radio reporter in 1992 in the Wairarapa on Today FM (now More FM Wairarapa). She became a TV3 news reporter in Christchurch in 1993 then moved to Auckland to work as a reporter and presenter on 3 News. She also reads the morning news on radio station More FM and participates in the morning shows there.
Barry presented the weekend edition of 3 News for six years, before being promoted to the show's top position, presenting the weeknight 3 News after former regular anchors John Campbell and Carol Hirschfeld moved on to respectively present and produce the 7 pm current affairs show, Campbell Live.
She is married with two sons.
