Hikari, Chiba

Hikari (光町; -machi) was a town located in Sousa District, Chiba, Japan.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 12,055 and a density of 361.90 persons per km². The total area is 33.31 km².

On March 27, 2006 Hikari was merged with Yokoshiba from Sanbu District to form the city of Yokoshibahikari. The new city is in Sanbu District; Sousa District was dissolved with this merger.
