Wario - Bad faith
So what you're saying is that nineteen references is a "lack of references"? GOod luck getting any other person on Wikipedia to side with you on that one. I'm sorry that I go with Wikipedia style guidelines and not put 90 references into the article, but you know, I just kinda think that your inane and inefficient concept of "anything that a person can't know from looking at the article must be referenced" matters less than WP style guidelines. - A Link to the Past (talk) 22:00, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
Re: I'm back!
Edinburgh... cool! What a great city. Good to have you back, it's not been nearly as interesting without you! Homework involving typing = pretending to do homework while actually spending hours on Wikipedia - have fun! :P Good luck with Charizard's FA work, I'm sure with Torchic under your belt it will be a lot easier. Hahaha... Germany sounds like you had a good time. Good to see you! -- Natalya 00:58, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Revert in Quilava article
I didn't really appreciate the big revert you did today to mine and DragonMan98's edits in the Quilava article. Surely all of our edits weren't that bad! I thought that my edits made the article more smooth and concise. You had reverted some errors I had fixed as well. In the future, please refrain from simply reverting an entire article if you want to make only a few revisions to it. Or if you really thought that all of our edits were tremendously awful, could you perhaps explain what was wrong with each of them in the talk page? --Brandon Dilbeck 18:19, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
- I reverted all the edits because it's easier to revert a huge bunch of edits that have a whole different array of errors in one go, and then fix the things I've caused (which you can see). I, as a Pokémon editor, specialise in Starter Pokémon, I've wrote Torchic and Combusken, and helped with Charizard, Pikachu and Mudkip, and there is a style guide to them, not only the PCP style guide, but sections where certain things go, and generic openings for all the articles, to maintain the Starter Pokémon continuity. I obviously missed an error the first time, which I later fixed. Sorry again, Highway Return to Oz... 18:25, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
-
- I really appreciate that you want every Pokémon article to have a specific format, but I don't think it's appropriate to revert other users' edits to change some formatting issues, especially if there are decent edits you're reverting as well. I had removed some redundant material which you've reverted--the "In the video games" section now states twice that Quilava can be obtained by evolving one of the starter Pokémon from Pokémon GSC; readers only need to know this once.
-
- Also, you changed a sentence I fixed from "Quilava turn their backs to their opponent" (here, "Quilava" is used in a plural form, as the generic species) to "Quilava turns their backs on their opponent". I have two issues with the sentence as it is now. First of all, there's a subject-verb number disagreement--you could say "Quilava turn their backs" or "Quilava turns its back" but to say that something "turns their backs" is incorrect because "turns" is a singular verb, and you're using it with "their backs", which is plural. Also, you say that Quilava turn their backs "on their opponent". This isn't the right preposition to use here--if I "turned my back on you", that would mean that I'm ignoring, betraying, or walking away from you.
-
- I may be new at the PCP, but I'm certainly not a noob at writing good-sounding articles. It would be more considerate for you to run through an article and fix specific things rather than generically reverting all our work.
- --Brandon Dilbeck 18:47, 31 August 2006 (UTC) (and sorry for the delay of my reply; I'm new at using my laptop and accidentally navigated away from the page before saving; I had to retype all of my argument.)
Reversions...
Like i said, i'm staying out of Quilava from now on, but I've been keeping on eye on it. I fear that your style of editing may be alienating people - chiefly the way you massively revert even the smallest things (an example of a stage 2 from "Typhlosion" to "Charizard"). PLEASE i ask you to read WP:DR, even if you have already, pay special attention to the "Avoidance" section. What you are doing does not promote community and makes people less inclined to want to be bold. -Zappernapper 20:21, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Re: Adminship
I've thought about it before, and I just went through the admins' reading list. The thing of it is, I wander to and from sites I frequent more or less at random; I'll always be a Wikipedian, but I probably won't be an active contributor every month of the year. That said, if you don't think that's a problem for an admin, I'd gladly accept a nomination. :) --Sparky Lurkdragon 01:44, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Michael has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Just to let you know
Your favorite movie on your user page links to the novel, not the film. I figure that you probably want to fix that. I'd fix it myself, but some people get angry when editing their user pages. Have a great day. --Nehrams2020 23:01, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Nintendo junkie
Hi there, I've just registered a few days ago and I'm a big Pokemon and Nintendo junkie in general. I made some tweaks to the Charizard page, how do you like 'em? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nintenboy01 (talk • contribs) .
Minor edits
Hello again! I made a few minor edits which I think are for the better. For instance, I think it's out of sequence and a bit cluttered to put the battle against Blaine AFTER the portion where Charizard had become obedient since this happened way befor epiusode 136, so I moved it. Also I think it's really worth noting Charizard's participation in "Spell of the Unown" since he really did come by himself (or itself if you prefer) out of sheer loyalty and caring for Ash, so I put that back in. I'd like to know what you think. Thanks for taking the time to read this. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nintenboy01 (talk • contribs) .

Vandalism?
Hey there, just a heads up, I noticed that the article on Ash Ketchum has been tampered with A LOT, many of Ash's Pokemon (mostly those with Oak) seem to be missing from the list, such as Kingler and Muk. You're more of a wikiwhiz than me, so I leave it to you to check this out as I'm afraid I might mess it up somehow... I did add in Squirtle again though. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.197.241.225 (talk • contribs) .
Re: *tears out hair*
That was funny how "Hey there" was the last part of your message. ;) Good to have you back! Sorry to hear that you'll have a lot of cleanup to do; but, with this being Wikipedia, there's not really much we can do to stop people from editing articles, even if they don't to it appropriatly. And there's no problem with being stressed out, that doesn't make you a bad admin-candidate; the important part is how you handle that stress. For example.... instead of wigging out at people who may not have made the most intelligent edits, consider taking a deep breath, and taking care of things that need to be cleaned up one at a time. *hinthintnudgenudge* If you want to use your stress-o-meter, just consider a better tagline to use. Perhaps "there is a lot of cleanup to do" rather than something more angered. A cool head is something that a lot of people want to see in an sysop. I think you can do it too. :) Good to see you, again. -- Natalya 23:12, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm. In what way is the "entire Pokemon topic destroyed"? If it makes you feel better, perhaps you could tell me what it is. Also, bear in mind: I wager it's even more stressful being an admin than a normal editor because then more people will actually come to you to dump their problems onto your hands, so strive for adminship at your risk; I declare adminship detrimental to one's health. ;) As for the hair thing, I wager the floor of your house is covered with orange-red hair, based on where you come from... Erik Jensen (I appreciate talk!) 05:09, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
-
- I see. Well, here's one way to look at it: You can prove yourself to be a level-headed admin candidate like AMIB if you can demonstrate a calm tolerance for the wave of noobs everywhere. What better way to appear appealing to whoever judges users for adminship? :) Ah, well, I'm just writing to assure that I'm always on the lookout for potential sources of grief for editors, so that I may be in a position to help out somehow. Erik Jensen (I appreciate talk!) 17:38, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

-
- Oh, um, I meant initially. AMIB was only in meltdown mode recently, but during his RfA he got a lot of votes for being "level-headed." In addition, he got a barnstar for the same reason. Erik Jensen (I appreciate talk!) 17:48, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Cherrim
Bulbapedia and Pokémon Safari are using "Cherrim" as the official romanization. Mitsumasa 01:24, September 16, 2006 (UTC)
Kirby unsourced?
What the hell do you mean Kirby's Final Cutter and Stone attack are "unsourced?" THEY ARE RIGHT THERE IN THE TRAILER. If you watch the traler, you can see him perform these moves. So what the hell are you talking about? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 198.85.228.129 (talk • contribs) .
Ash Ketchum
I've semi-ed it for a couple of days, then I'll protect it to see whether the spate of bad edits has stopped. smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 20:27, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Edit History for Talk:May (Pokémon)
Highway, I suggest that you check this edit of the talk page for May (Pokémon). Someone put what I believe was rubbish on the talk page before my removal of it. The Edit History recorded SaturnYoshi as the culprit. Can you help me verify? -- A. Exeunt 02:09, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- It's good to know that the culprit wasn't a Esperanzan, but some random IP Address. Thanks. -- A. Exeunt 07:10, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Re: Page move
I'll be glad to move the page, but I'd like to be sure that I understand that the move is appropriate; Nintendo has only ever used "Cherimu", and a few sites have recently changed the use to "Cherrim", without any explanation? Thanks for clarifying, -- Natalya 19:01, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Charizard
This is for all the excellent work done on Charizard to get it to FAC quality, and on many others to GA. We all know the fire and brimstone full-scale armegeddon that seems to break out every time a Pokémon article goes to FAC, but hopefully people will notice the good refs, writing quality and phrasing, and see past the fact that this happens to be a Pokémon. smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 21:33, 19 September 2006 (UTC) (PS: you no longer have a fan club... all Category:Imposter of... cats have been deleted for fear of becoming a "hall of fame")

DarknessLord Userboxes
Now I've calmed down and I'm fine deleting the fair use images things, but what if...
I say at the bottom I do not own any of the images, Pokémon, or Nintendo and stuff. I will also say that the images were just for fun and humor.
I am okay with deleting them, but one last question, as above.
P. S.: At least make your posts above the template I have... :P just messing with ya... DarknessLord 18:40, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

I just fell off a flight from Honolulu to Sydney, so I may be out of te loop for a day or two. I will look at the article soon though. Sabine's Sunbird talk 10:10, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

My Apologies
Very well, I respect your decisions with regards to the Charizard article and I will leave it be. Still, I really think the characteristics section should be written in the present tense. Even to the average none-Pokefan, it just seems a bit awkward in style. Also if Pokemon 2000 DID take place after episode 107 (w/c nobody knows for sure except the series' writers), then wouldn't the part about "showing signs of loyalty" be wrong? And if that part could be mentioned in the article then why not "Spell of the Unown" too? Nintenboy01 21:38, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Torchic request
I'm going to have to deny your request to feature Torchic on September 28. I do intend to put it on the main page sometime, but it seems too soon after Bulbasaur. Raul654 00:15, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Re: Adminship
From where I stand, I'd say waiting another month or so would be a good idea, for a couple of reasons. One, people usually don't like seeing RfAs so close together (yours was at the end of July, right?). Also, having a three month period where you've really demonstrated calm behavior will support you a lot. What do you think? -- Natalya 14:47, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Shuckle Man + others
Is there any reason you give vandalism warnings for edits that aren't vandalism? -- Steel 19:42, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

But back to the point, what about edits like these [1] [2] which are clearly good faith edits. -- Steel 19:52, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Michael Jackson GA review
There is no formal neccessary requirement for standardization of citations for GA, nor is there any requirement for the pokefair tag which is only designed for pokemon related things (as said in it's article)--I'll bring the food 03:27, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
