Highway 26 is considered to be one of the most poorly-maintained highways in the provincial network, particularly between Owen Sound and Meaford in the west, which is not as highly traveled as the tourist area to the east.

FYI: this section has been repaved (as of Fall 2006) and IS well travelled, I'll try to find a ministry bullitin as Cite. Exit2DOS2000TC 00:51, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Best I could quickly find is this site stating 15 km has been repaved. So with that as backing, I am going to remove the poorly-maintained reference. Exit2DOS2000TC 02:17, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
