[edit] Shonen
Wouldn't this be more seinen than shonen..? In my opinion, it's a bit violent for my tastes..Expo377 06:33, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

- Its serialized in a shounen magazine (Dragon Age) so it is a shounen manga.
- Dragon Age magazine even has very perverted manga in it, but still these are shounen manga (NSFW): http://www.fujimishobo.co.jp/sp/hentai/ ChuChu
[edit] Trivia and Inspiration
I edited the section, with small information. Anyway, very good job with the finding, but we must not exceed in personal research. Cuttyflam 12:27, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Separate articles after the 8th chapter
If possible, since to give the page little space, can we have a separate article for the main characters only? HiranoKouta —The preceding unsigned comment was added by HiranoKouta (talk • contribs) 23:13, 21 February 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Problem uploading the file.
I've had problems uploading the new updated photos of the main characters. Can anyone add these for Saeko, Saya and Shizuka?
Thanks. HiranoKouta

Cuttyflam, need assistance in these uploads. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by HiranoKouta (talk • contribs) 15:22, 26 February 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Proposing name change
Highschool redirects to High school. Highschool, without a space, is technically not even a word. Therefore, I propose changing the name of the article back to High School of the Dead. Adam Marx Squared 04:50, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
The author stated that it's Highschool. HiranoKouta
Oh, okay then. Adam Marx Squared 06:02, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image Cover
Now the image have all the copyright tags. For other example check One Piece, Naruto and Bleach pages: there's a lot of picture of cover. Cuttyflam 23:30, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] After the 9th is released
Since I have to cope with wiki's standards, I suggest we should make another page dedicated to the story like Naruto II and Tenjou Tenge. Is this possible? I'd hate to let us get caught by another bot or admin. What say you guys? HiranoKouta
- I was thinking the same. We may create a new page: Highschool of the Dead Plot or something similar. Cuttyflam 08:38, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- then it's settled, a page will be dedicated to the whole plot like Naruto Shippuuden and Tenjou Tenge and this page will be at peace. HiranoKouta I'm also thinking if we can give pictures for "Other characters". I'll supply the pictures if needed be. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 85.154.11.26 (talk) 15:58, 7 April 2007 (UTC).
- Priorities are to change the photo with the cover of the 1st volume, followed by the work on summarizing the plot. It's getting way too long. Ominae 03:32, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Can we do the separate page after the volume 1 release? Then we can edit the plot on a new page.
- Volume 1 and 2 are already out in Japan. 70.68.55.148 23:48, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hirakou's line when facing Shido
"How many of <them> do you think have I disposed of at school? Besides you've been making fun of me all the time!"
My translation may not be accurate, but I hope I've made my point clear.--202.179.234.216 01:30, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Gang rape/Orgy
On the bus I swear they where having an orgy because the girls didn't seem to be trying to escape but rather seemed to be enjoying it--Change is coming and potter should have died I might be Trolled and I just don't care 20:47, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
On the other hand, since Shido considers himself to be a New Order leader, he could be convincing them to engage in an orgy for procreation. Something like a "You're the world's last hope" situation. Many of the characters notice that those students follow him like lemmings. I doubt it could be a gang rape, we know Shido is twisted, but he is not about to make half of his group hate him. (WikifingHelper 20:34, 25 August 2007 (UTC))
it could also easily be a "I don't care what you do as long as you worship me and follow me I'm alright with it" kind of thing but yeah I can see what your talking about especially if all the women left after words it would put a real damper on the whole stick....and I don't think there where that many gay dudes hanging around that group--Change is coming and potter should have died I might be Trolled and I just don't care 05:14, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
and from what I said I'm right because in chapter 12 he said "free time over"......meaning they he was allowing them to "do what ever you want as long as you worship and follow me" thing--Change is coming and potter should have died I might be Trolled and I just don't care 05:18, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- He's using his authority as a teacher and adult to twist everyone following him. He's very manipulative and going though his speech where he started to berate himself and empower the students was without a doubt a display of his ingenuity. In one of the chapters he commented how fear is like an aphrodisiac, which is true. Using that raw carnal instinct he was able to solidify their loyalty to him. From the looks he stopped them before any actual hardcore activity. Fox816 21:07, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Nihongo Issues on Main Page, Plot Summary for Volume article and Cover
I would like to stake a request to add Nihongo for the other characters on the main page be filled asap. And also the volume cover for volume 3? It would make the page better. And propose a summary for the volumes on a separate article? What say you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.154.12.20 (talk) 16:07, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
- There is nothing else to put in the {{nihongo}} template until someone finds the kanji of the other names. --Farix (Talk) 17:48, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Politics?
I would like to request someone with some knowledge of Japanese politics to start a section on the political positions of Highschool of the Dead (positive potrayal of Uyoku dantai, negative potrayal of leftist protestors, etc.). I think it is relevant to the article since most mangas don't have a clear ideology behind them like HSOTD. I myself don't know too much of Japanese politics and could only find one English language source about this topic (http://bignanime.wordpress.com/2007/09/27/zombies-politics-and-high-school-of-the-dead/) so I don't think I have the knowledge to write such a section myself. Thanks in advance! --Trotzki (talk) 09:03, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
