[edit] Beardy Tom
To the anomynous users who contrubited the edit with Beardy Tom, having done considerable rearch for this an related articles, I can find no references to the dog being known as Beardy Tom. If this is accurate, then we should work it in and explain it. Please cite source(s). Thanks. Vaoverland 20:10, May 18, 2005 (UTC)
- Benji/Higgins vandalism has been going on for some time. Former versions of these pages may contain strange, random claims, such as that Higgins/Benji appeared in porn magazines, bit human actors, was addicted to pain medications due to arthritis and respiratory problems, etc. All of these claims -- and the "Beardy Tom" claim -- are completely false and the work of vandals. 64.142.90.32 07:30, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Higgins movie(s)
The estimated death date of 1975 and the film in 1977 seem to be in conflict. I'll attempt some research, but anyone else who can help clear this up, please do so. Vaoverland 23:41, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
- based upon several sources, the original dog starred only in the first movie, and his progeny were the actors in For The Love of Benji in 1977 and the sequels. Vaoverland 22:18, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

- In addition to his seven years on Petticoat Junction, Higgins starred in two movies, Mooch Goes to Hollywood (1971) and Benji (1974). I have seen other sources that say he was born in 1960 and died in 1977. Vaoverland is correct that Benjean starred in For the Love of Benji. If you will watch the movies, you can see that she is a female (no visible genitalia in eye-level side-shots), whereas Higgins was a male (visible genitalia). 64.142.90.32 07:30, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
