Highway 55 was a provincial highway in the Canadian province of Ontario, connecting the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) with Niagara-on-the-Lake via Niagara Stone Road. It was designated "Highway 55" following the incorporation of the Regional Municipality of Niagara. It is the primary road in Virgil.
Previously, Highway 55 connected Hamilton's Kenilworth Avenue access to the "Mountain" (Niagara Escarpment) and the former Highway 53.
Highway 55 was turned over to the Regional Municipality on April 1, 1997, and is now mostly Niagara Regional Road 55.
