Highway 409 is an Ontario provincial 400-Series expressway that extends from the Highway 401 in Toronto to Toronto Pearson International Airport, west of Highway 427, in Mississauga. Highway 409 is a short freeway used mainly as a bypass for traffic approaching the airport or Highway 427 (northbound) from Highway 401 (westbound), since both are not accessible at the mega-interchange between Highways 401 and 427. It is known as the Belfield Expressway for its entire length.

The portion of Highway 409 west of Highway 427 is owned and operated by the Greater Toronto Airport Authority, though it is still signed as Highway 409.

Both the Ontario Provincial Police (east of Highway 427 to Highway 401) and Peel Regional Police (west of Highway 427) patrol the highway.
