Highlands Latin School is a Classical Christian private school in Louisville, Kentucky, United States.
Highlands Latin is a Classical, Christian school for students in K-12. Their goal is to provide a classical education comparable to the high standards set by educators of the past. They strive to create an academic community of teachers and students characterized by the highest expectations in scholarship and Christian character.
Cheryl Lowe founded Highlands Latin School after decades of work in education. In five years, HLS has grown from an enrollment of 50 to over 280, is ranked in the top 1% in the nation on the ITBS for K-8, and has reported the highest average SAT scores in Louisville according to Business First Magazine's 2006 annual list of private schools.[1] Highlands Latin is a small school focused on high academic achievement.
Except for delayed openings, Highlands Latin follows the JCPS schedule for snow days and emergency closings.
