Highlander Productions (Hebrew: היילנדר הפקות) is an independent Israeli animation development and production studio. Since its establishment, Highlander has succeeded in positioning itself as Israel’s leading animation studio[1] and has had the opportunity to provide a diverse set of clients with their distinct style and equal focus on both content development and production. Their most notable clients include among others; Incredimail, Fox Kids, Avenue Q, and Shlomo Artzi. [2]
On March 26th, 2008 a press release issued by Highlander Productions has appeared on some of the largest blogs and news sites in the animation industry. In it they are officially calling out independent animators and writers to send them their discontinued pilots for review. What makes this even more appealing is the fact they claim to be working on a direct distribution channel that will be under their own control.[3]
