Highland Tech High School is a standards based school in Anchorage, Alaska in the Anchorage School District. It is a charter school dedicated to the standards based model. It is the first standards based school in the Anchorage School District (ASD) and had its first graduating class May 31, 2006. A charter for an extension of the school's campus in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District has been approved and plans for the school are under way. The principal of Highland Tech is Mark Standley, he along with the assistant principal Rebecca Midles administrate the school.
