High Cross, Constantine

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

High Cross is a hamlet in the Civil Parish of Constantine, Kerrier,Cornwall. It is east of Constantine village, overlooking Helford River. A local landmark is the High Cross Garage, at the junction of the road from Constantine to Lamanva and Penryn and the road from Mawnan Smith. A mediaeval stone cross was found, in 1993[1] built into a collapsing "Cornish hedge"[2]. It was re-erected nearby, at the crossroad, in April 2000[3].

At the other end of the hill is the Potager Nursery Garden and restaurant[4] (only open Sundays, April to September).
