Higashi-Murayama Station (東村山駅 -eki?) is a train station of the Seibu Railway Company located in central Higashimurayama, Tokyo, Japan. It serves passengers on the Shinjuku Line, Kokubunji Line, and Seibu-en Line.

[edit] The station building

Higashi-Murayama Station has two entrances, east and west, with one set of ticket wickets located centrally above the tracks. The platforms are connected by three overhead passageways.

  • Platforms 1 and 2: Trains bound for Kokubunji Station leave from here.
  • Platform 3: Trains bound for Seibu-en Station leave from here.
  • Platform 4: Trains bound in the direction of Tokorozawa Station and Hon-Kawagoe Station leave from here.
  • Platforms 5 and 6: Trains bound for Seibu Shinjuku Station leave from here.

These platforms are paired together to form three island platforms.

All trains except the Limited Express stop at Higashi-Murayama.

Buses for Tachikawa Station depart from the west side of the station. A bus departs from the east side to make a loop within Higashimurayama. Taxis depart from both sides, also.

[edit] Neighborhood

To the east of the station one can find an Ito-Yokado department store, the Central Public Civic Hall, and the Higashimurayama Central Post Office.
