[edit] Notability of Gene Summers

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Gene Summers, by Ageo020 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Gene Summers seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Gene Summers, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 22:59, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

I don't understand why someone would tag your article just as soon as you started it. Starting an article on Gene Summers is a fine idea. I had to clean-up the page though, we can't just steal the content from other websites. -MrFizyx 23:36, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Alligator front.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Alligator front.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:05, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Songs about Alabama

Hihitman, please see Talk:Alabama before adding more songs to the list you have placed in the Alabama article. For one thing, you will learn that there is already a list of songs about Birmingham in Wikipedia, and perhaps similar lists for other Alabama cities. The main Alabama article is not the place for lists of trivia about Alabama. Please discuss this further at Talk:Alabama. -- Rob C. alias Alarob 20:53, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Incomplete Sections

Wow, I'm amazed at all of the work you've done over the past month. One suggestion, though: when you're revamping an article and leave it in an unfinished or semi-finished state, it's best to use a template message rather than putting the word "incomplete" in the header. It looks neater and allows other editors to jump in and help. Thanks for all the hard work! Wyatt Riot 22:52, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] You edits to Tommy & The Tom Toms

I'm wondering why you keep removing or covering up the Cleanup tag I put on Tommy & The Tom Toms. Do you believe it should not be there? If so, it would be more appropriate to discuss that on that article's Talk page. Wyatt Riot 22:33, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

I've asked you kindly to stop removing the Cleanup tag I put on Tommy & The Tom Toms. Actions like this are considered vandalism. If this continues, I will start adding warnings on your User page, which can and will result in loss of editing privileges and being blocked from Wikipedia. If you disagree with the template, please discuss the matter on the Talk page. Wyatt Riot 13:23, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of The Ultimate School Of Rock & Roll

A tag has been placed on The Ultimate School Of Rock & Roll, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Porcupine (prickle me!) 19:30, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

If you delete my entry of an album titled "The Ultimate School Of Rock & Roll" then you'll have to delete a ton of others since I used their entries as a prototype! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hifihitman (talk • contribs) 19:46, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Secondly, how do you expect anyone to listen to you when you say that? Hundreds of articles and images are deleted every day on Wikipedia. If you made a whole bunch of non-notable articles, they'll be deleted. — Bob • (talk) • 03:31, September 25, 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bill Smith Combo

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Bill Smith Combo, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Tommy & the Tom Toms. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 05:36, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
