Hieropolis

Hieropolis or Hierapolis ("holy city") may refer to any of several holy cities in the Hellenistic world:
- Hierapolis Bambyce in Syria;
- Hierapolis, founded by Eumenes II of Pergamon at Pamukkale on the marches of Lydia and Phrygia, a site in south-western Turkey now near Denizli;
- Comana, Cappadocia, occasionally referred to as Hieropolis in inscriptions;
- Hieropolis-Kastabala in Cilicia, now Budrum.
- Hierakonpolis was a Hellenistic city of Upper Egypt.
