Knyaz Hieronim Chodkiewicz (1500 - 1561) was Vilnius ciwun 1542, Royal Deputy Cup-bearer of Lithuania 1542, Trakai castellan 1544, Vilnius castellan 1559, elder of the Eldership of Samogitia 1545, and Orsha, Telšiai, Vileyka.

King Zygmunt August sent him on a diplomatic mission to Pope Paul IV and Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. The latter granted him and his family the title of Count of the Roman Empire. In 1560 he commanded the Lithuanian armies in Livonia defeating a 50.000 people strong Muscovite force at Cesis (Wenden).

Married Anna Szemetówna, daughter of Melchior Szemet, Samogitia castellan, and Elzbieta Hlebowiczówna. All of his childrens were from the first marriage, about 1537 borned Ivan Hieronimovich, in 1541 Krystyna, Halszka about 1543, Anna in 1547, Zofia in 1549, Hieronim in 1551, Barbara ? and unknown daughter in 1545.
