Electronic dance duo from Sheffield, England. Consists of Nick "Nico" Eastwood and David "Bozz" Boswell. Nick was a former member of Venini, the band that featured former Pulp violinist Russell Senior, and ran the near-legendary Le Citrus night at Sheffield's Casbah venue.
Bozz was a collaborator with All Seeing I, a Sheffield collective that had a series of chart hits, and worked with Jarvis Cocker, Tony Christie, Philip Oakey, Babybird and other Sheffield music stars. He is also a DJ and also records under the alias of Bozzwell for different labels, including Suicide Recordings, part of the Belgium label Eskimo.
Hiem's music mixes dance, electronica and pop, with a full band when the duo play live. They have remixed The Lovers, Pink Grease and Norweigian Cheese Nutters Ost n Kjex . Hiem have a sizeable following both from the underground dance music scene and also from the more mainstream indie kids. They have recorded live sessions for both Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 1, and Xfm.
As well as the singles listed below, Hiem have appeared on compilations including Adam Beyer's Fabric 22, Flexipop, Northern Electronic, The Electronic Bible 1 and 2, The Ministry Of Sound Chill Out Sessions, and also Time Out's The Other Side Of London compilation mixed by Damian Lazarus. There are more 12" records due for release through Eskimo.
