Hideous Records was an independent record label set up in late 2006 by the three members of the British rock band, Reuben and their manager Barney Jeavons. It was set up using money they earned from playing live shows[1]. The band have said that they set up the label in order to have "more control over the release of [their] music". The band only planned to use the label for their own releases and did not intend to distribute music from other artists [2]. As of 4th June 2008, Hideous Records' future is disputed in the wake of Reuben's "Indefinite Hiatus"
