Hibiscus coccineus is a hardy Hibiscus species that looks much like Cannabis sativa (marijuana). It is also known as brilliant hibiscus, scarlet hibiscus and scarlet rose mallow.
The plant is native to a marsh-like habitat. It dies back during the winter and grows from 7-10'.
