Hibernian Group

Hibernian Group plc is a large insurance company in Dublin, Ireland. The company also provides investment management and pension services. The company is a subsidiary of Aviva.

Hoover's reports that Hibernian is the largest general insurer in Ireland, with a market share of more than 20%.[1]

Subsidiaries of Hibernian Group plc include:

  • Ark Life Assurance Company Limited
  • Hibernian General Insurance Limited

(Aviva plc reports[2] its ownership of Hibernian Life & Pensions Limited as independent of its ownership of Hibernian Group plc.)

The former Norwich Union (Ireland) was merged into Hibernian.[3]
