Hibernian F.C. in Europe

Hibernian have a significant history in European competitions. The club was the first British club to enter European competition[1], the European Cup in its first season.

Hibs have lost on four occasions to the club that went on to win the competition[2], and have themselves reached the quarter-final of the competition they were entered in on five occasions[3].
