[edit] Hi-Mart is notable.
Hi-Mart is a significant chain of electronics stores. Even in a relatively small (120,000) city like Nonsan, it is present - and one of the two large electronic stores in town (along with Samsung). (I'm not saying this because I like this chain - I don't particularly - but because it is significant in the Korean commercial landscape.) "In 1999, the annual revenue growth reachedover 50%, recording 820 billion won in revenue" and over 20% market share (kr.bea.com/case_studies/HiMartR2.pdf ).
