SHARPcast is a new and modern tech podcast that introduces viewers to the latest in technology, mostly computer related. Created by two long-time friends and gadget lovers, Colin and Hobson, it is filmed in the beautiful city of Vancouver. This is one of the first Canadian technology podcasts produced and hosted by two fairly young podcasters, both 14 as of early 2008. Episodes are generally anywhere between 5-10 minutes long and are filmed every week or two. Recent topics include news stories such as the battle between HD DVD and Blu-ray and consumer electronics such as the Optimus Maximus OLED Keyboard.
[edit] History
Started on New Years, 2008 it was the brainchild of one of the hosts, Hobson. Together with Colin, they have accomplished their goal of hosting and producing a podcast that talked about technology. Earlier on, before SHARPcast, the two have explored podcasting by reviewing local shops, however the content never made it to air. SHARPcast is currently under production and updates every one to two weeks.
