Hezekiah M. Washburn

Hezekiah M. Washburn (February 14, 1884 – July 19, 1972) was a pastor and missionary to the Bakuba people of the Belgian Congo. His last known residence was Martinsville, Virginia. His autobiography is titled A Knight in the Congo: God's Ambassador in Three Continents.

Sometime close to 1936, Washburn was dubbed "Sir Hezekiah, Knight of the Royal Lions of Belgium" by either Albert I of Belgium or Léopold III of Belgium. (See the talk page for clarification.)
